I believe that title will make sense to a lot of people, but just in case it doesn’t here is a brief explanation of what I mean: There are many home based business companies, particularly party plan type companies, that do not allow any type of promotional advertising of any form of their products or business opportunity by their consultants online.  Now, that is just baffling to me, and I am sure to many others. Why would a direct sales company that does not do any advertising itself because they chose the network marketing distribution method not allow their distributors to advertise the company? Well, I am sure they all have their perfectly good reasons which I don’t want to get into here.

What I would like to offer is a potential solution around that problem.  Instead of putting up a website and promoting your product or home based business opportunity, simply put up a website and promote YOURSELF. Historically, people are infinitely more attracted to other people than they are products anyway. Look at all the marketing by “celebrities” done and you’ll realize that business have known about this marketing gem for years. If so and so uses it, then others will too, sometimes regardless of its value or applicability. Now I am going on a limb here, but certainly seems to be like that to me for many celebrity endorsed products.  I will not name any to avoid free publicity.
